As part of its ongoing transformation journey, the Global Procurement team is implementing a fully digital, AI-enabled Source-to-Pay (S2P) platform and challenging its non-product-related spend to unlock new value creation opportunities.

About the Role

This position offers a unique two-phase development path.

During the first two years, you will primarily act as NPR Strategic Sourcing Programme Coordinator, serving as the key link between an external consulting partner and internal stakeholders worldwide. You will support the execution of strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier optimisation programmes, and procurement transformation projects.

Following this phase, the role will evolve into a Procurement Category Manager General Services position. In this capacity, you will be responsible for developing and executing the global category strategies for indirect categories such as Marketing, HR, IT, and Professional Services across 13 production sites and multiple sales organisations worldwide.

The position is based in Assendelft, The Netherlands, and reports to the Head of Global Procurement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing Programme Coordination

• Coordinate the global NPR sourcing programme portfolio;
• Manage project planning, milestones, risks, and action tracking;
• Organise governance meetings, steering committees, and executive reporting;
• Ensure alignment between stakeholders, priorities, and project timelines.

Consulting Partner & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary interface between Forbo and the external consulting partner;
• Coordinate access to supplier data, contracts, spend information, and key stakeholders;
• Facilitate workshops, sourcing discussions, and decision-making processes;
• Support change management activities and stakeholder engagement across the organisation;
• Ensure effective knowledge transfer from external consultants to internal teams.

Sourcing & Implementation Support

• Support RFQ processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract implementation;
• Coordinate supplier onboarding activities and compliance with newly negotiated agreements;
• Translate sourcing opportunities into measurable business benefits;
• Monitor and track savings achievements and procurement performance in collaboration with Finance.

Category Management (Future State)

• Develop and implement global category strategies focused on value creation;
• Identify opportunities for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimisation and supplier innovation;
• Lead vendor rationalisation initiatives while safeguarding service quality and continuity;
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance globally;
• Lead commercial negotiations and contractual arrangements to maximise business value;
• Drive supplier-led innovation and sustainable sourcing initiatives.

Digital Procurement Transformation

• Contribute to the rollout and adoption of a new AI-enabled Source-to-Pay platform;
• Utilise advanced analytics and AI tools for market intelligence, supplier performance tracking, and cost modelling;
• Support data-driven decision-making and process automation initiatives;
• Help further professionalise and modernise the global procurement organisation.

What Do You Bring?

For Forbo Flooring Systems, we are looking for an ambitious and internationally minded procurement professional with:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field;
• 3 to 5 years of experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing coordination, or category management;
• Experience with supplier consolidation, vendor rationalisation, and TCO optimisation initiatives;
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier development skills;
• Excellent analytical and project management capabilities;
• The ability to effectively manage and influence stakeholders in an international environment;
• A digital mindset and a strong interest in AI-enabled procurement solutions;
• Fluency in English;
• Dutch language skills are preferred, and French is considered an advantage;
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20%).
